Fair Question Gov Palin?
Gov Palin is clearly dedicated to having children.Even becoming Governor didn't stop her from fulfilling God's promise one more time.Does she intended to take measures to prevent a pregnancy during the time she may become President? And if she does...more »

Executive Branch Accountability
Since Elliot had his hand in the cookie jar (har har), I'm glad he got caught. And since we aren't Bushies, we aren't going to try to sweep our dirty laundry under the rug. I applaud the proper functioning of government, where...more »

Actually, I was thinking more specifically the stress of pregnancy and child-birth.
Clearly she can get other people to nurse her 3 day old child. But a smooth transfer of power during labor could be difficult.
I'm not sure why that question ever popped into my head actually.
Far more relevant questions would be aimed at John McCain and whether how he would rid this government of incompetence and corruption.
What staff changes would he make from the Bush Administration?
McCain has said the Bush administration is corrupt and incompetent, so why is he bringing the neo-cons who corrupted his party into his campaign?
At the core of my objection to McCain is that even if he actually wanted to implement reforms, he's just not strong enough or smart enough to root out the corrupt and incompetent elements of the party.

"false economy" as in economy supplemented by $27 Million in pork barrel spending, and the ability to charge a windfall profits tax on oil from the near-by fields in order.

I hate to say it, because OldSarg used to post some provocative stuff, that faithfully represented an alternative viewpoint.
But with this stuff, he really is starting to sound like crazed storm-trooper wanna-be; hiding in his basement until he can join the enforcement brigade and bust a few hippie heads.

Why are we talking about this man!?
I'm sorry, but the E Hollywood expo interviews with Wooten are a waste of valuable oxygen.
The story is not about Wooten. It is about his boss who was fired by Gov Palin for living according to the law, and acting according to the rules
This is the story of the Bush administration in a nutshell: if you aren't willing to bend the rules on their behalf you will be punished, if you show you have a higher loyalty to party than to the rule of law you will be rewarded.
I think it is this disdain for the rule of law is probably what attracted Rove's boys (Schmidt et al).

The greatest (and probable intended) consequence, is to set a tone. For what sort of things will be prosecuted. Try to kill a Democrat. . . if you don't succeed, no problem.
Joke about Dick Cheney's tax policy being bad for the country. . . well, that's aiding and abetting terrorists.Posted at September 5, 2008 10:38 AM in response to FBI Wanted Obama Plotters Charged, But A Rove Appointee Said No

Now that's Change John McCain can believe in.

I live in North Denver.
I haven't seen a single McCain anything here.
No bumper stickers, no yard signs, not anything. Obama is The Man in this hood.I guess it's true what they say about self-segregation, because if public displays of affection are any indication of voting trends, then we could wrap this up with a voice vote.
