  • I have the view that the whole matter was a GOP dog and pony act from the beginning. All done to fit into the political campaign in some way. The only outsider was poor ole Colin.(possibily)

  • In 2004, all the anti-war candidates were culled from the ballot before election day, leaving the anti-war voter with no one to vote for. Now days, there are just too many anti-war voters to be treated that way. Now Lieberman says we owe him a pass because he's been there so long. Sorry Joe, that's not the way a democracy works.

  • I would be suprised to see a cease fire anytime soon. I just think the whole reason Hezbollah chose this time for the conflict was to grind the Israli military down the same way Iraq has ground down our military. It looks like Israel has fallen right into the trap. The operations they are conducting must be costing a fortune. And now, for the Lebaneese government to survive, someone will have to repair the damage over there. Who will pay for that? Who ever does will then be the new owner of Lebanon. Iran has lots of money.

  • What is the difference between a cover up and a slow leak investigation. Not much. So then we ask, what happened that needed to be covered up? A lot of atrocities went uninvestigated in Vietman. Others only came up in death bed confessions. Even so, each one played a small role in what in what ultimately happened to us there. I'm with Cong. Murtha on this one.

  • It just seems to me that the American People are coming to the conclusion that the decision to do the Iraq thing was a bad idea from the start.  They are no longer convinced that, in spite of bad intelligence, Bush made the right decision purely by accident.  They are asking: "If we can make good decisions with bad intelligence, why pay good money for good intelligence?"

Here are Bush's two choices. 1) Find some way to convince us that it was a good decision.  2) Admitt it was a bad decision and clear the way for us all to move forward together.

  • There is only one company that has the credibility with the American people to take over the ports and run them the way they want them run.  Its time to turn the ports over to Walmart and be done with the whole issue

  • Clay:  Steel shot is only required over water.  You can still use lead otherwise.  Most folks who have expensive guns much preferr lead because of the wear on the barrell.  We should ask Mr. Whittengtron which he preferrs.  JH.

  • Paul:  You could get a lot more use out of your 12 G if you invested in some re-loading equipment.  12 G shells cost less than half  the others.  If you re-load, its even better.  Chose a powder and shot combination that fits the situation.  I have a load I use on starlings that only reaches about 20 yds.
