Ralph Nader sucks. He uses the Greens like Rove uses the funde Christians. Rove and Nader are one in the same as far as I am concerned. Did I say Nader sucks?

When do we get to see Bush walk to the podium of a presser (a morning presser) holding a margarita? It has to be soon. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. He's gonna snap, YEA !!! Reccess appointment, they can't withstand an actual confirmation process. Not possible. And, as for Orin Hatch, Good god, WHAT A TOOL.

Did the White House mouth, piece in her attempt to convery the sympathy and horror Bush says he feels, also mention IN THE SAME BREATH that Bush continues to support the right to bear arms?

I agree with these comments from Brad.
1)If we were winning in Iraq, NO ONE would care. The ends justify the means in this country. 2) The Dems need to realize, as mentioned, people want leaders perceived as strong. They don't want wimps or people perceived as wimps. On this matter, if the Dems DON'T stop the war, the will look like they are looking now . . . no spine. They were elected to stop Bush's (loosing) war. 3) Show Rudy for the crazy he is. We have a nut-job in the WH currently and if nothing else, I think people want someone who is operating in the real universe and not the one their minions have contructed for them.Posted at March 8, 2007 2:41 PM in response to Why Rudy Giuliani Really Shouldn’t be President

Hi,
I called your comments stupid, not you. I said the people who proclaimed themselves to be, good Christian people, to have pooed, exposing their hypocracy. I can list examples of their BS if you really want to debate the existence of the almost unmeasurable hypocracy of the previous Congress and its leaders as well our commander-in-chimp & his hench-people if necessary. Leaders that did shamelessly promote themselves as morally better than anyone with a noticeably different take on ANYTHING. Have a good one.Posted at March 6, 2007 5:51 PM in response to So Much Bad News for the White House--How to Pick and Choose?

I don't usually reply directly to comments made by other readers. That said, TJKING's comments are stupid. There are so many failures of leadership, character and just plain being human on the part of the Bush Administration and the previous Congress lead by so many good Chrisitian people or so they told us, time and time and time again that it boggles the mind. They have stolen & lied with a degree of contempt that is and of itself an accomplishment. I mean, what aspect of governing has escaped their collective stain? What haven't they pooed on? I'm almost too depressed to know all the details . . . almost.

Well,
I appreciate people responding to my post. And yes, I think I meant to put MT. What I was trying to get across, and did so poorly, was that I don't think there has been some huge sea-change in the way people will vote or that the right is dead. There were many close races and a marginal shift, particularly in the senate races, would have left us with a much different result. Yes, Bush sucks, the national Republican Party apparatus is run by Christian fascists who obviously interned with the Taliban and at Enron but people will still vote for them. We have Conyers, Murtha, Jefferson who have problems and Reyes who doesn't know what he's doing. I simply think we have a lot people on our side who are off to the races with some monumental re-alignment thing. I just don't think it happened. I'm no rocket scientist, but much of our electorate is stupid, xenophobic and rejects science and another portion is too lazy to vote except when the see the House leadership protecting a pedophile. I'm queer and Foley makes me sick. I think he was a major part of what drove people to say wtf and vote Dem. I'm rambling a bit and new to this posting thing. I hope this is useful even if no one agrees with me.Posted at December 31, 2006 9:49 AM in response to Killing the Real Beast

We need to be very careful about writing all these obits. The R's are very good at winning & winning even when they didn't win. The margins of victory in Va & MO just to name two were like, 5 votes . . . if we hadn't pulled those out, imagine what the talking heads on this blog would be writing about? I'm so happy we are not, but we need to be realistic about what happened and not be arrogant. This is about money and power and they are a lot meaner than we are, because, well, WWJD when he looses Congress?

It says bad things about what the people think of us Dems . . . that it took absolute failures in everything before they gave the R's the boot. They didn't vote for us, the voted against the R's. We need to produce, we need to be honest and as stated in another post, we need to stick to our beliefs. Bush still has a lot more time to finish screwing-up what's left to screw-up. Someone quoted Tolkein which is appropriate because before 11/7, I thought we were living in Modor.
