Indeed.
Probably because Chinese leaders figured out some time back that it can hold way more sway over USA policy through amassing USA debt than through a military competition.

Why should we not believe that the same entities which have infused cash into USA financial institutions (Sovereign Wealth Funds and other cash rich investors, for a piece of the pie, won't do the same for the "monoline insurers"?
With cash infusions won't the ratings for the monolines will be raised to their previous levels?
It seems it shouldn't matter to credit consumers if portions of the financial institutions or insurers are owned by foreign government investment funds of other foreign investors.

Please. To say that democrats do not criminally cheat in elections is to express ignorance of electoral history.

AS I posted yesterday "moral" and "ethical" are synonyms, as anyone who has taken a Philosophy 101 course knows. Mr. Raymond obviously hasn't.
Within the definitions of the two dictionaries I consulted there is no mention of religion.

Murder has one victim, or in the most extreme case 35.
Every resident of the USA is a victim of your efforts at subverting the Constitution through criminally effecting the outcome of an election.
I think you should still be in jail for a good long time, and would think so if you had acted for the democrats.

Having given it more thought, I am wondering why it is that TPM Cafe asked such an obvious dip shit here to shill his book, which I hope no one buys.

Mr. Raymond,
You are apparently unaware of the fact that the words "morals" and "ethics" are synonyms. So, no, morality is not the exclusive province of religion. Didn't you take Philosophy 101?
No wonder you didn't understand the judge.
Here's the definition from the online version of the "American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language", which includes no reference to religion.
1. Of or concerned with the judgment of the goodness or badness of human action and character: moral scrutiny; a moral quandary.
2. Teaching or exhibiting goodness or correctness of character and behavior: a moral lesson.
3. Conforming to standards of what is right or just in behavior; virtuous: a moral life.
4. Arising from conscience or the sense of right and wrong: a moral obligation.
5. Having psychological rather than physical or tangible effects: a moral victory; moral support.
6. Based on strong likelihood or firm conviction, rather than on the actual evidence: a moral certainty.Synonyms - moral, ethical, virtuous, righteous
No wonder you ended up in jail.

hrebendorf,
I am familiar with the court case. The Supreme Court has ruled, thus a Constitutional Amendment, which is the only way to over ride a SCOUS decision. Duh.
Oh yeah. And read a history of the discussions of the Constitutional Convention.

If you comment was addressed to me, you're absolutely right. Excuse my momentary flight of fancy.Seriously, though, my suggestions fall into the “strive for the ideal” portion.
